Orange and Lemon Therapeutic Grade essential oils from Young Living contains approximately 59-73% and 85-96% d-limonene respectively and limonene is a monoterpene (MT). Its use may result in Cancer prevention, inhibition and regression.

They have been shown to be chemopreventive against mammary, liver, lung, UV-induced skin cancer and chemotherapeutic against both experimental mammary and pancreatic tumours.

Studies have shown that limonene and monoterpenes specifically, have anti-cancer effects. Limonene increase the levels of liver enzymes involved in detoxifying carcinogens, increase cell redifferentiation,  induce apoptosis and  inhibit the isoprenylation of the cellular products of oncogenes.
